It is one of four SLP evaluation codes introduced to replace the old 92506, each targeting a specific domain.
Using 92521 on superbills
- Bill 92521 when the primary referral question is fluency. If you also complete a full language evaluation the same day, payers differ on allowing 92521 + 92523 together — document distinct medical necessity.
- Evaluations usually carry a higher fee than treatment visits on your superbill.
